Craig Weinkauf

Craig Weinkauf, MD, PhD, is an associate professor at the University of Arizona. He completed his MD/PhD training at Tufts University (Boston, MA) and his vascular surgery residency at the University of Arizona (Tucson, AZ). He is a practicing vascular surgeon and immunologist who studies how carotid atherosclerosis and related inflammatory pathways contribute to aging and brain health. He focuses on understanding what is enough blood for the brain with a goal to change how cerebrovascular diseases are treated and understand the role of the vascular system in neurodegeneration.
